Garden
teaching
The Garden was the vision of Principal Jasmine Smith who wanted a place where the children could connect with nature.
Securing sponsorship from local companies who value the importance of sustainability and the environment, Haya Power, Stolt and MK1, along with the support of our BPS community, the garden is a huge hit!
Our Teaching Garden was officially opened by The British Ambassador Roddy Drummond on March 15th 2022.
With nurturing care from our local community, including Intouch Clinic, Greenspace and the Rugby Club, the Garden continues to thrive and provide an amazing space for children to access nature.
Building blocks for a lifelong love of nature and the environment.
We recognise that the early years are pivotal in shaping a child’s future. The Teaching Garden is designed to be a catalyst for this development, providing a rich sensory playground for exploring life cycles, ecosystems and the principles of sustainability. Through hands-on engagement, children grasp the interconnectedness of nature and human activity, laying down a robust foundation for informed and responsible living.

“I feel passionately that when we use the teaching garden, we not only grow plants, we grow a brighter future for our children. We develop respect for each other and our environment. This Garden will develop a secure and intrinsic understanding about nature. It is important to enable children to form healthy habits from an early age. The Teaching Garden allows the children to learn that what they eat and where food comes from impacts their local environment and the world around them. We hope this will encourage and nurture a love for nature in both current and future generations of children”
- Principal Mrs. Jasmine Smith
